The Caitlin cami and slip are beautiful garments to make for your lingerie wardrobe.
Both the cami and slip are cut on the bias and feature an empire style bust line with pretty gathered cups. The bust line seam can be left as is, or covered with hand sewn scallop lace. A flattering deep V neckline features on both the front and back. Both garments are fully lined and have adjustable or non adjustable shoulder straps. This is a high end couture garment that you will love to sew and wear.
The Caitlin cami and slip is a versatile pattern. The cami and slip can be made for evening, daywear, nightwear or bridal wear depending on the fabric used.
The pattern is labelled as advanced beginner / intermediate.
Fabrics – Light to medium weight silk satin, polyester satin, charmeuse, crepe de chine, dupion silk, lightweight cotton, cotton voile. (See the suggested fabric list in the photo gallery.)
Lace – narrow galloon lace. Stretch or rigid lace will both work. Width recommended is approx 2.5cm / 1” wide. See this list of online lingerie suppliers on the blog to help you with finding lace supplies.
The Caitlin cami and slip are offered in 8 sizes:
In your download you will receive a full size set in Australian sizes 6 – 20.
(US size 2 through to size 16) (EU size 34 through to size 48).
A full measurement chart is included to help you determine your size, and also instructions for combining sizes and altering the cup size. (See sizing information in the photo gallery)
Both imperial and metric measurements are used throughout the instruction tutorial.
This download includes a 26 page instruction tutorial and a 32 page pattern file. A0 and 36″ wide copy shop files are also included.
The tutorial includes detailed instructions with colour illustrations. If you haven’t made lingerie before, the instructions will walk you through each and every step. You can choose to view the tutorial on a screen or print it out.
The patterns are computer generated, and are full sized including all pieces, which will print on your home computer on either letter or A4 paper. The patterns are colour coded by size and feature a layers function, so you only need print out your size.
