Darcy Mama Dress
The Darcy mama dress has arrived! I have had many requests for a women’s version of this pattern. It’s a favourite with the little girls, and now the big girls get to wear it too!
The Darcy mama dress is available in sizes 8 – 20 (US sizes 4 – 16). The pattern has been designed on a B- C cup, but has been tested up to a DD cup. The bodice has a side bust dart which helps with the shaping of the bodice. The beautiful draped style of the skirt with hidden in seam pockets make it an elegant and comfortable design.
With 3 sleeve options, this design is perfect for all seasons. The singlet option has an slight action back design, but still covers standard bra straps at the back. It has good coverage at the front of the armhole, and wide comfortable straps. The stretch knit design makes it a cool summer dress.
The raglan short sleeve provides a little more coverage, and makes it a perfect base for colour blocking, or using a beautiful print. The round neckline is flattering to any bust size.
Add a scarf, tights and knee high boots to the 3/4 length raglan sleeve version and you have a perfect autumn/fall look.
This pattern can have so may different looks with the optional lace overlay. Use a tonal or contrast lace to create a different and unique look.
The stretch knit design, along with the soft pleats across the front make the skirt a beautiful voluminous shape – perfect for a maternity style.
