Caitlin cami and slip pattern
I’m thrilled to release the Caitlin cami and slip pattern – a beautiful addition to our collection of lingerie patterns.
I’ve had this pattern in my mind for a long while now. I imagined a soft lingerie garment that could be used for nightwear, daywear, evening wear or bridal wear!
The cami and slip feature an empire style bust line and gathered cups. The under bust is finished with a narrow scallop lace. Or the lace can be left off if you are using a busy print or going for more of a daywear look. The front cups of the cami have a deep V neckline, while still providing good coverage. Included in the pattern are instructions for how to reduce or enlarge the cup pattern.
The back also features a flattering V neckline. There is a pattern included for the fabric straps which can be either adjustable or sewn to the perfect length for you. Purchased lingerie shoulder straps can also be used.
I’ve always loved dresses cut on the bias grain. It makes them feel slinky, sexy and comfortable all at the same time. You may have to take a bit more care when sewing garments cut on the bias, but it is well worth the effort.
Stay patterns are included for the necklines, armholes and under bust. The stays are cut in interfacing and help to prevent these seams stretching out. They are cut back to the seam allowance at the end.
The Caitlin cami and slip are fully lined. It can be lined in the same fabric as the outer, or in a different material. This adds to the high end look and feel of the garment, it is beautiful both inside and outside. The pattern is available in Australian sizes 6 – 20 (see the size and comparison chart in the photo gallery) It features a layers option so you can just print your size, and full size open patterns to make it easier to lay your pattern on the bias grain.
