Blossom underwire bra release
The Blossom bra pattern is a new pattern release that has been a long time coming! It’s been a labour of love with many hours being devoted to the design, fit and construction. It has a large size range with sizes AU 8 – 26 cup sizes A – F (UK 30 – 48 cup sizes A – F) (US 30 – 48 cups sizes A – G)
(EU 65 – 110 cup sizes A – G).
The Blossom bra is a gorgeous addition to your lingerie wardrobe. The fabric cups are designed for a beautiful supportive shape while the low centre front gives just a hint of cleavage. Scalloped lace features across the front frame and through the straps adding a feminine touch. You can add some creative flair by layering an all over lace or a print to your cups. You can also use a scalloped edge lace for the upper cups as some of my testers did.
I’ve spent the last 6 weeks testing this pattern with an amazing group of women from all over the world. They were all so generous with their knowledge and feedback. I had some expert bra makers and also some complete beginners who had never made a bra before. I was amazed at the depth of knowledge in the group, we all learned so much from each other.
When you buy a bra off the rack you can try on a whole lot of bras until you find one that fits you – sort of… when you make your own, you can find true comfort and create a bra that fits your unique shape. The Blossom bra is a great base pattern, once you find the right cup size you may want to refine the fit slightly to suit your unique shape. Over the next few weeks I’ll be writing some blogs on what kind of alterations my testers made. Bra making really is next level when it comes to customising!
The thing with sewing your own lingerie is that it’s about more than mastering the technical aspects, although this in itself is very satisfying. It’s also about the way wearing beautiful lingerie makes you feel. Wearing lovely matching sets in beautiful fabrics and laces makes me feel feminine, gorgeous and confident.
